Inventory Planner/Buyer

Position Overview:
We are searching for an experienced supply chain inventory professional that will be responsible for the optimization of daily replenishment, forecasting and maintenance of inventory across the entire company. Planner will work closely with Product Management, Sales and Warehouse Operations to ensure accurate and timely inventory throughout the lifecycle of the product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an inventory portfolio of wholesale HVAC goods across our distribution and store locations
• Review and optimize system data to align with business goals and actual demand
• Continuously improve key inventory metrics – Service Level, Overstock, slow moving and phase out inventory
• Assess and create reports to increase inventory efficiency and support sales growth
• Collaborate with Product Management team on:
• New product introduction
• Managing product lifecycle
• Evaluating preseason and discount buys
• Partner with Sales to support changes in market demand and customer requirements
• Assist in identifying under-performing aspects of the business, and help formulate strategies to improve results

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with a high level of detail
• Strong decision making, analytical and problem-solving skills
• High level of written and verbal communication, must be able to clearly and effectively discuss inventory KPI’s and department processes to all levels of the business
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with various internal and external departments
• Financial Management – solid comprehension of financial drivers (Gross Margin, Turns, COGS, etc.)
• Work efficiently and productively in both an independent and team setting
• Able to carry multiple projects/deadlines all at once with excellent follow through

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology, Computer Science or related area, OR equivalent substantive work experience
• 2+ years of experience with Blue Ridge Supply Chain Planning and Reporting highly preferred
• 3+ years of relevant experience in Inventory Management, Supply Chain Planning, Replenishment, Forecasting
• Demand Planning, Forecasting, and/or S&OP, Supply Chain Certification a plus
• Experience in the wholesale HVAC distribution environment
