Commercial Territory Manager

(Sales Engineer)

Full-Time

 

 

Location: Remote / Philadelphia Region

The Territory Manager is responsible for selling HVAC Commercial products specifically as well as other HVAC products, assessing and qualifying customer needs:

  1. Calling on clients to build relationships and develop solutions for projects in the commercial market
  2. Distributing product information and giving product demonstrations and specifications.
  3. Closing sales and servicing existing accounts.
  4. Providing territory analysis and forecasting.
  5. Maintain on-going communication with distributor representatives.
  6. Resolving customer complaints by investigating problems and implementing solutions.
  7. Manage territory expenses within budgeted parameters and providing excellent customer service.


Essential Duties:

  • Schedule sales calls and physically visit current clients and follow-up on leads.
  • Close the sale.
  • Plan to include travel to current clients and prospective customers.
  • Plan on growing existing base and Growing New Customers.
  • Attend and sell at periodic regional and state trade shows.
  • Meet and exceed territory sales goals set by management.
  • Submit activity and reports on a regular basis to Sales Managers using Microsoft software; regular communication with the Sales Manager; preparing and submitting expense reports; participate in training functions, group conference calls, and scheduled meetings.

Education/Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience directly selling HVAC products or services to companies.
  • Experience selling capital equipment required.
  • Proficient in using the computer to: manage data, sales reports and sales reporting.
  • Must be able to drive an automobile, stand for long periods of time, sit for long periods of time, and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Experience working on a base plus commission basis.
  • This position requires up to heavy travel within the territory. Overnight travel while not usual,may be required.
